Organised by Reading East MP Rob Wilson, the Reading Job Fair gives jobseekers the chance to meet potential bosses and talk about opportunities including internships, apprenticeships and training.
More than 2,000 people come through the doors of the Broad Street Mall to take advantage of the information stands, stalls and workshops run by around 50 companies throughout the day.
Mr Wilson met the company’s marketing director David Butler and Nigel Dacombe, owner and associate of Xenca Thames.
He said: “Xenca is a really proactive British business.
“It’s fantastic to see businesses that offer their members the chance to exercise their entrepreneurial side. It’s also encouraging to see that they’re involved with social media which is an important and growing tool or businesses.”
“The fact that Xenca has been coming to the Job Fair each year since it was set up shows the level of success the company has had at the event over the years. I’m looking forward to seeing its representatives there and I’m sure that it will again be a successful event for them.”
“In recent years this has become an excellent showcase for local opportunities and Rob’s determination to establish this important event has been impressive.”
